REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Effective Date: September 4, 2026
Last Updated: September 4, 2026
Goree’s Pitt II prepares perishable food products and may purchase, season, marinate, smoke, cook, package, or otherwise prepare food specifically for each customer’s order.
Because our food is perishable, made to order, and prepared based on customer selections, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. GOREE’S PITT II DOES NOT OFFER REFUNDS, RETURNS, OR CANCELLATIONS ON FOOD ORDERS, EXCEPT WHERE REQUIRED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
1. All Sales Are Final
By placing an order with Goree’s Pitt II, the customer acknowledges and agrees that:
All food sales are final.
Goree’s Pitt II does not provide refunds because a customer:
-
Changes their mind
-
No longer wants the order
-
Orders the wrong item
-
Orders the wrong quantity
-
Selects the wrong meat
-
Selects the wrong side
-
Selects the wrong beverage
-
Provides incorrect information
-
Fails to review the order before submitting it
-
Fails to pick up the order
-
Arrives late for pickup
-
Does not like a properly prepared item based on personal taste or preference
-
Finds the order is no longer needed after it has been submitted
-
Experiences a scheduling conflict after placing the order
Customers are responsible for reviewing their complete order before submitting payment.
2. No Cancellations
Once an order has been submitted and payment has been accepted, the order is considered final.
Goree’s Pitt II does not accept cancellations of paid food orders.
Customers should not place an order until they are certain of:
-
The items they want
-
Quantities
-
Meat selections
-
Side selections
-
Beverage selections
-
Pickup date and availability
-
Their ability to pick up the order
Submitting an order authorizes Goree’s Pitt II to begin planning, purchasing, preparation, and fulfillment activities.
3. Food Preparation
Preparation may begin immediately or well before cooking begins.
Preparation may include:
-
Purchasing ingredients
-
Reserving inventory
-
Trimming or portioning meat
-
Seasoning
-
Marinating
-
Preparing sauces
-
Smoking
-
Cooking
-
Preparing side dishes
-
Preparing beverages
-
Packaging
-
Scheduling production capacity
Because expenses and preparation may begin before the customer sees visible cooking activity, a customer cannot assume that an order is cancelable simply because pickup has not yet occurred.
4. Customer No-Shows and Late Pickup
Customers are responsible for picking up their orders as instructed.
Failure to pick up an order does not entitle the customer to a refund, credit, replacement, or cancellation.
If a customer arrives late:
-
Food quality may change over time.
-
Food may need to be discarded for safety reasons.
-
Goree’s Pitt II is not obligated to remake an order.
-
No refund is issued because of late or missed pickup.
Customers should contact Goree’s Pitt II as soon as possible if an emergency affects pickup, but contacting us does not create a right to a refund or cancellation.
5. Incorrect Orders Caused by Customer Selection
Customers are responsible for checking all selections before completing checkout.
If the customer selects the wrong:
-
Meat
-
Side
-
Beverage
-
Quantity
-
Combo
-
Pickup information
-
Or other order option
the order remains final and is not refundable.
6. Errors Caused by Goree’s Pitt II
If Goree’s Pitt II provides an item materially different from the customer’s confirmed order, the customer should notify us promptly.
When Goree’s Pitt II confirms that an error occurred on our part, we may correct the issue through an appropriate remedy such as:
-
Replacing the incorrect item
-
Providing the missing item
-
Correcting the order
-
Providing another reasonable resolution
A business error does not automatically create a right to a cash refund unless applicable law requires one.
Goree’s Pitt II reserves the right to determine the appropriate remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.
7. Missing Items
Customers should inspect their order as soon as reasonably possible after pickup.
If an item that was part of the confirmed order is missing, the customer should contact Goree’s Pitt II promptly.
After confirming the issue, Goree’s Pitt II may provide the missing item or another appropriate correction.
Missing-item claims do not automatically qualify for a refund.
8. Quality or Food-Safety Concerns
If a customer reasonably believes food is unsafe, spoiled, improperly prepared, or materially defective, the customer should stop consuming the affected item and contact Goree’s Pitt II promptly.
We may request:
-
The customer’s name
-
Order number
-
Order date
-
Description of the concern
-
Photographs
-
The affected food or packaging, when reasonably available
Goree’s Pitt II will review legitimate food-safety and quality concerns and provide any remedy required by applicable law.
This provision does not create a general satisfaction guarantee.
Personal taste preferences are not grounds for a refund.
9. Items That Become Unavailable
If Goree’s Pitt II is unable to provide an item that a customer has already paid for, we may contact the customer to arrange:
-
An approved substitution
-
Another item of comparable value
-
An order adjustment
-
Another reasonable resolution
If Goree’s Pitt II is legally required to return funds for an item we cannot provide, we will comply with applicable law.
This limited circumstance does not change the general all-sales-final policy.
10. Catering Orders
All catering sales, deposits, and payments are final unless a written catering agreement expressly states otherwise or applicable law requires otherwise.
Catering may require:
-
Advance purchasing
-
Reserved production capacity
-
Staffing
-
Equipment
-
Scheduling
-
Food preparation
-
Supplies
-
Transportation
-
Event planning
For that reason, cancellation by the customer does not automatically create any right to a refund.
Any written catering proposal, invoice, contract, or agreement may contain additional terms, and those specific terms will apply to that engagement.
11. Third-Party Services
Transactions completed through third-party platforms may also be governed by that provider’s terms.
For example, venue reservations made through Swimply are governed by Swimply’s applicable cancellation and refund policies.
Goree’s Pitt II is not responsible for refunds, cancellations, payment disputes, or policies related to transactions made directly with third-party platforms.
12. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
Customers should contact Goree’s Pitt II directly if they believe there is a legitimate problem with an order.
The filing of a payment dispute or chargeback does not automatically invalidate this policy or establish that a refund is owed.
Goree’s Pitt II may provide the applicable payment processor or financial institution with documentation including:
-
Order confirmations
-
Customer selections
-
Payment records
-
Pickup records
-
Communications
-
Policies accepted during checkout
-
Other relevant transaction information
Fraudulent or intentionally false disputes may be contested.
13. No Returns
For health, safety, and sanitation reasons, Goree’s Pitt II cannot accept returned food or beverages for resale.
Once food has left the custody or control of Goree’s Pitt II, it cannot be returned for a refund.
14. Exceptions Required by Law
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive, eliminate, or restrict any consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived under applicable California or federal law.
Where the law requires a particular remedy, Goree’s Pitt II will comply with that requirement.
Except for such legally required circumstances:
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS. NO RETURNS. NO CANCELLATIONS.
